Standing 365 feet tall in Telluride, Bridal Veil Falls is Colorado’s tallest free-falling waterfall, and one of the most classic and difficult ice climbs in North America. However, for those who have never ice climbed, Telluride is surrounded by easily accessible routes and climbs for all levels and abilities. We’re partnering with San Juan Outdoor Adventures, a fully insured USDA Forest Service permitted outfitter located in Telluride, to introduce beginners to ice climbing. No previous experience is required.
During the half-day ice climbing adventure, guests will learn how to use ice axes, crampons, and a climbing rope to ascend frozen waterfalls. The package includes:
Three-night stay in one of The Hotel Telluride’s Signature rooms (King or Double)
Daily breakfast for two
A half-day guided ice-climbing adventure led by San Juan Outdoor Adventures (gratuity included)
Choice of a glass of Eiswien, or a hot toddy, with a charcuterie board by the fireplace
Two 60-minute massages through Telluride Spa Concierge at The Hotel Telluride (gratuity included)
