ANNUAL ‘CRACK A COORS® ON WILSON PEAK’, ICONIC COORS® BEER MOUNTAIN

The annual, exclusive ‘Crack a Coors on Wilson Peak’ package, available from July 13 – September 17, 2020, is an ideal package for the adventure seeker who is looking for an alpine challenge.

Guests will be guided to the summit of Wilson Peak where they will enjoy a packed lunch. Upon completion of hiking Wilson Peak, guests will have the opportunity to crack open their choice of a Coors Banquet or Coors Light. A perfect photo opportunity, guests are encouraged to snap shots and post to social media using #CrackaCoors, toasting with their Coors at this iconic mountain.

Back at The Hotel Telluride as part of the package, weary hikers can each rejuvenate with a 60-minute spa treatment (choice of massage or facial) during their stay. The Hotel Telluride also offers two outdoor hot tubs to further relax any sore muscles while soaking in the mountain views.

Telluride itself is a former silver mining camp with a rich history and is surrounded by a number of mining ghost towns. Autumn is also known as ‘Gold Season’ in the Rocky Mountains due to the shimmering gold leaves of the Aspen trees. As part of the package, guest start their exploration at the Telluride Historical Museum, located in the restored 1896 miners’ hospital in downtown Telluride, which serves as a cultural and historical anchor for the town and honors the regional and geological history of the area. The museum also offers a range of programs for kids, including an outdoor mining sluice where mini-miners can pan for hidden gems (weather permitting). On day two, guests meet in the lobby for complimentary coffee and tea and are driven to the one of two different former mining camps, now ghost towns, as part of the guided 4×4 tour facilitated by Telluride Outside.
