The Historic Sheridan Opera House

The historic Sheridan Opera House, located downtown between the Sheridan Hotel and San Miguel County Courthouse, has been Telluride’s community center since 1913 hosting concerts, films, Telluride iconic festivals, and much more. Owned and operated by the Sheridan Arts Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization the Opera House hosts live theater, concerts and more throughout the winter. Taking in a show at the intimate Sheridan Opera House to experience live music, theatre, comedy or the arts is a MUST for your Telluride visit.

I stayed at Hotel Telluride, which was a great home base for my action-packed days, especially with the SUV shuttle that runs in and out of town on demand. The cozy lobby was very Colorado Chic: big fireplace, mossy green- and chocolate-colored upholstery, miniature iron elk statues, antler chandeliers. I was particularly grateful for the ever-present coffee/tea station in the lobby and the humidifier in my room. I booked a massage on my last day — a fantastic decision.
